Candlelight vigil opposing the underground interment of 9/11 remains

May 14, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

9/11 Parents & Families of Firefighters and WTC Victims will hold a candlelight vigil at 7:30pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 for families and supporters who oppose the removal of unidentified human remains to the 9/11 museum.

The vigil will be held at the corner of Liberty and Greenwich Streets (one block west of Church Street).

Clergy members will join 9/11 Parents & Families of Firefighters and WTC Victims for a “special, reverential” vigil calling for the Mayor to survey September 11th family members for their opinions on the interment of remains belowground. The group favors an aboveground interment similar to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
