Be the Hero for a Hero Dinner Dance

November 8, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The first annual Be the Hero for a Hero Dinner Dance will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Warwick Valley Country Club. Cocktail hour begins at 7:00pm, followed by dinner and dancing to the music of Celtic Cross.

Tickets are $100.00 each. All funds raised will support the National Marrow Registry and similar groups.

Be a Hero for a Hero honors FF Roy Chelsen of the FDNY’s Engine 28 who died in 2011 of multiple myeloma, a cancer related to his work during the recovery effort at the World Trade Center site. Roy needed many stem cell transplants during his long illness and never found a perfect bone marrow match. The charity in his memory helps provide funds for stem cell, organ, and bone marrow donation.

There will also be a raffle for a $10,000 prize. Only 300 $100.00 tickets will be sold and the winner does not need to be present at the event. Visit the Be a Hero for a Hero website or facebook page for details.
