9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Arlington Fire Chief James Schwartz to speak about his 9/11 experience at the Pentagon – Arlington, VA

Chief James Schwartz of the Arlington County Fire Department will speak at the Walter Reed Community Center at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014. The program is sponsored by the Arlington Historical Society.

A question-and-answer session will follow Chief Schwartz’s talk. The event is free and open to the public. To reserve a place, please email garrett.peck@arlingtonhistoricalsociety.org.

The Arlington County FD was the lead firefighting agency that responded to the terrorist attack at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Chief Schwartz led the fire and rescue effort there.

The hour-long program will begin at 7:00pm at Walter Reed Community Center. (Please note that this is a one-time change-of-venue from Arlington Central Library; AHS programming will return to the library in October.)
