9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Adopt an Animal Day Honoring Lt. JoAnn Restko, FDNY EMS

FDNY EMS Station 7 and the North Shore Animal League America will host an Adopt an Animal Day on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at the station to honor the life of Lt. JoAnn Restko, who was killed in a hiking accident in the Adirondacks last year. Restko was an animal lover who was active in animal rescue groups.
The event commemorates Restko’s life by helping animals find a loving home via a mobile adoption unit which will have dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens up for adoption to anyone who wishes to attend.
