9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. There will be a 10-13 fundraiser at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 26, 2014 for Denise Beckel, wife of Sgt. Eric Beckel (PSA 7, 43 Pct., Bronx Narcotics) and sister of Det. Richard Henderson of the Bomb Squad.
Denise fell ill with a life-threatening liver disease resulting in a complete liver transplant. Many complications have followed and medical costs are mounting for Denise’s long-term treatment.
