Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Michael McGinty Scholarship Applications Now Available

Applications are now available for the annual Michael McGinty Scholarships. The McGinty Scholarship Foundation offers two $2,500.00 scholarships annually to college-bound graduating seniors who are currently residents of Foxboro, Massachusetts. The scholarship honors Michael McGinty, 42, who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks while attending a meeting at Marsh & McLennan in the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Funeral for FDNY Firefighter and 9/11 Ferry Captain Thomas Phelan

Firefighter Thomas Phelan of Marine 9 (formerly Engine 55) has died of World Trade Center-related cancer at the age of 45. He joined the FDNY in 2003. During the terrorist attacks of 2001 he was working as a Statue of Liberty ferry captain and ferried hundreds of people to safety, then delivered supplies to the site.
