Daughter of slain 9/11 hero Sgt. Timothy Roy proudly recalls dad’s legacy as she follows him into NYPD ranks

The daughter of  NYPD Sergeant Timothy Roy, who was killed during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 has joined the NYPD, writes Marco Poggio in the New York Daily News.

Brittney Roy, 22, who was 7 when her father was killed, always wanted to be a police officer.

“It was a true aspiration to be able to try and follow his footsteps,” she told reporters

Roy is one of 474 new NYPD cadets in this class.
