Daughter of FDNY Lieutenant killed in 9/11 attacks surprised by dream college during speech

Daniella Giammona, who lost her father, FDNY Lieutenant Vincent Giammona, in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, was speaking at the annual gala for Answer the Call, the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund, when she discovered she was accepted to her top-choice college, reported Inside Edition.

A representative from Quinnipiac University told her that she was the first student accepted to the school’s class of 2021.

Giammona was 2 years old when she lost her father, who was killed on his 40th birthday.
