CT State Trooper Walter Greene dies of 9/11-related cancer

Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Walter Greene, 51, has died of World Trade Center-related cancer, reports Ruth Bruno in the Hartford Courant.

Trooper Greene was part of the K-9 unit and spent several days searching for survivors after the terrorist attacks.

Trooper Greene’s career with the Connecticut State Police began in 1990. He was also a United States Marine.

His funeral details will be posted.
