Children of slain NYPD detective Miosotis Familia receive free home from Tunnel to Towers Foundation

The three children of NYPD Detective Miosotis Familia, who was killed in the line of duty this summer, have been given a furnished apartment from the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, reports Briana Montalvo, of WABC News.

The foundation honors FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Among other initiatives, the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation has given homes to wounded veterans and to the families of cops, EMTs, and firefighters killed on the job.

Frank Siller, Stephen’s older brother and chair of the foundation told Familia’s children, “We know life can change in a moment. But we also wanted to surround you with support and grace so you could carry on.”
