Belmar St. Patrick’s Day parade honors 9/11 victims & those who are sick

The 43rd annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Belmar, NJ paid special tribute to those murdered in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and those who have contracted illnesses because of their exposure to toxins at the World Trade Center site. While NJ firefighters held holding a huge American flag,  Bradley Beach Fire Chief John Zech told the crowds that more than 70,000 people are  enrolled in the World Trade Center Health Program and that more than 20,000 of them are being treated for  cancer, writes MaryAnn Spoto on March 6, 2016 in the NJ Advance Media for NJ.com.
