Bali bombings remembered: Survivors, family, friends gather at Kuta’s ‘Ground Zero’

Survivors of the Bali bombing and family members and friends of the 200 people killed in the attack gathered at the memorial to mark the 15th anniversary of the bombing, report Cindy Wockner and Komang Erviani of News Corp Australia Network.

Two suicide bombers killled 200 and injured 209 on October 12, 2002 with backpack bombs and a bomb in a minivan outside the Sari Club.

The three terrorists who planned the Bali nightclub attack were executed in 2008. The primary maker of the bomb bombmaker, Dr Azahari was killed in a police raid in 2005. All were associated with the Jeemah Islamiyah terrorist group.
