9/11 survivor dog found new life in Morris Twp.

Cody, a 16-year-old German shepherd, Husky and Labrador mix, is a happy dog reports Michael Izzo in the Daily Record. She lives in Morris County, with the Pagano family.

Cody was found in New York City on September 12, 2001 and taken to a shelter. Many kill shelters became overcrowded after the attacks and animal rescue agencies saved many of their animals. Cody was one of these rescues.

“Sam Pagano said. “So as the anniversary of that fateful day approaches we are so thankful for 15 years with Cody and all that she has taught us about love and life.””
