9/11, military widows help each other heal at a Jacksonville Beach retreat

Our friends at Tuesday’s Children sponsored a three-day retreat on a Florida beach for widows of US military personnel and September 11th widows. The program, Project Heart to Heart, started last year.

Andrea Garbarini, who lost her husband, FDNY Lt. Charley Garbarini in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, said, “I felt like I needed to be around some other women who had lost their spouses. I knew I could help.”

Beth Reese Cravey of the Florida Times Union wrote about the group on February 3, 2016.
