9/11 CEO’s gift for kids

By Lois Weiss New York Post

Cantor Fitzgerald’s CEO, who lost 658 of his employees on 9/11, will donate $10 million to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Howard Lutnick will announce today that the Hurricane Sandy Support Program will donate $1,000 to each family at 19 Sandy-afflicted elementary schools in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island and New Jersey.

Lutnick will ask that the families use the money to help their children heal from the ravages of the storm.

In a speech last month, Lutnick said the widow of a Cantor employee taught him a valuable lesson when she skipped a company memorial in favor of taking her grieving kids to Disney World.
